Description
For the railfans, and those who bother watching my scraps as well
A shot that I won't be able to repeat, though I really looked forward to shooting from this exact same spot, but with a new camera. The class 110 has apparently taken leave from the Ruhr area, at least on this line. The engine we see here was the lead engine of a "Lokzug", a train only made up of engines [link] Luckly, I shot the other side of it, without the stupid graffiti on it. In that train were also 497 and 493, both of which I shot while they still ran on the regional line RB35.
I really liked the composition, with the engine coming straight at you, only the front being visible in a maze of rails an catenary. The quality is miserable of course, shot at full zoom with my crappy camera and cropped a bit, but still, something worth seeing I guess
Shot at the end of a platform of Duisburg central station, looking towards the small switchyard of the "Betriebswerk", a small depot.

The hypercomplexity of the yard and the lone train balance perfectly. Nicely done!
