Yes, that is the same lock that's hanging under my saddle on the lefthand pic. Quite honestly, I hated that bike, it kept having all sorts of problems which I had to sort out, from a melting dynamo to a jammed steering column due to a broken bearing. But I kept it going, and used it every single day to get to the station and back. The station, that is Leverkusen Mitte. Today, for the first time EVER, I left it at the bike stands in Leverkusen Opladen, and then this happens...

RIP, I'll probably never see it again.

I've managed to recover the frame number from one of my photos, so I'll be heading to the police station in Opladen.

I alredy hoped to see a scenario like a car running him over or some other accident, with the bike intact but the thief quite dead. Schadenfreude ist die schönste Freude, as Germans would say, but luckly, I gut it back now.

I'll buy a fucking huge U-lock to avoid this in the future...

Bastards.... I am a cyclist too some c**t stole my front wheel, it was so much fun getting it home with one wheel and the cost of a replacement made it cheaper to get a new bike believe it or not :-( I hate thieves utter bastards....

That's why I always pull my lock not only through the frame, but also through the front wheel. But that was of course not much use to me when that asswipe cut the lock...

But now that I got it back, I went straight to the next store and got me a friggin huge U-lock, so nobody will be... "tempted" to "borrow" my bike next time.

Glad you got it back, how did you find it? I now lock both the wheels to the frame and the post with big heavy duty chains and locks.
