Well, I wanted to do some "proper" photoshopping, involving reading tutorials etc. first, but felt a bit burned out today. So instead, I did another pic with some of my favourite themes: Trains and colour contrasts! :D

It's a bit of a tribute to the Metro in Budapest, which is by far the most important, secure and fastest way to get around the city. The rolling stock is exclusively from the former Soviet Union, sturdy, noisy, and long lasting, with some cars having reached a service life of over 40 years! They'll probably be replaced soon, so I took some pics while in Budapest for the holidays. This pic was taken on December 31st in 2007 at the terminus Örs Vezér Tér, one of the two stations on this line (M2) that are above the surface. Luckly, there was still enough light to leave the ISO as low as possible, as my crappy little camera loves to produce large amounts of noise. The grainyness and low visibility can be attributed to the fact that the snow was still falling as I shot this.

If you want to know what it looks (and sounds) like to ride one of these babies, check out my YouTube vids on them:

I really hope I'll get a chance to take some more pics with a proper camera before the trains that were so characteristic for Eastern European subways are finally taken out of service...

This just makes me cold! For some reason, I do like the hazy look.

No, it's not an act...I really am that nutty.
:iconshenanigan87:
Thanks! Yeah, it was in fact pretty cold that day, and the hazy look actually comes into being because its still snowing, though one can't see the individual flakes.

Azztadurva!

Ugyanis imádom kontrasztot, ezért rögtön a piros lámpákat gondoltam a közé;ppontba nyomni a metró fenyszorójával eggyüt.
