Current Speed Demon

Germany's most top notch high speed train, the third generation ICE, the class 403 (or 406 if you want to use it outside of Germany). The brand ICE is one of the most successfull ones here, every child and every adult knows what an ICE train is.

This one just passed through Leverkusen-Mitte, where no long distance train stops. Soon, it will run past my house too, with the mainline being about 340 meters from our balcony, though the sound absorbing walls keept it quiet most of the time. Top speed on this line is 200kph, which is quite a bit lower than the maximum speed this train could reach, namely 330kph.
