You may remember this...



...with me just wanting to buy some new shoes, but ending up drooling all over this Ford GT instead. Well, it turned out that the size I wanted was out of stock, but they offered to have a pair shipped here from one of their other locations. So when I got a call this week, I didn't just set out to fetch my shoes, but I also took my proper camera along. And you have to admit, those rear tires are enormous!

And the car is pointing the right way too... :B


Also, 110 508...




...has been scrapped yesterday. :(

It's a beautiful car, but in the interest of helping the environment it's best that it remain parked. Also, I don't know of any straight woman who would see a man driving that car wouldn't suspect that he's compensating for other shortcomings.

Looking at how I get a gazillion mpg with my car, perhaps I deserve to drive around with absymal mileage once in a while... :lol:

Hmm... What would I care more about... Driving a Ford GT, or about what straight women think about me... Nope, give me the GT. :)

LOL I can't deny the attraction of just having a few hours on the autobahn with a Les Mans-grade sports car, but you won't see me buying one even if I could afford it.

If I'd have that much money, I'd just own two cars. One everyday diesel commuter like the one I have now, and one that's a bit more crazy in the garage... Something to tinker with, like a 67 Mustang Fastback... Om nom nom!

Yeah, I often dream about rebuilding a Model A or something like that with updated suspension and a turbo diesel. It's a crying shame that one can't get cars with such beautiful, art deco bodies anymore. The PT cruiser is the only car that comes close, and it doesn't. (^_^)
