Same train as in my previous pic [link] now one station further with the cab car facing towards us, doors already closed, seconds from departure towards Cologne. I went for a more unusual composition (by my standards), not getting all of the train into the pic, but otherwise doing no editing on the original.

I have to resist babbling here... There's so much stuff I'd like to tell you about, how the stretch of tracks between these two stations is the one where I took some of my nicest photos, either standing on the bridge, or next to the rails, not to mention the bridge ahead being the one you might have seen in my numerous Icarus installments. Kueppersteg is also the station that's closest to my home, I can often hear the characteristic scream of the 143s just before they stop, when the electric brakes lost most of their power and the good old block brakes are applied. When I take the train to my university, I have to go to Leverkusen-Mitte instead, as the RegionalExpress doesn't stop here. Wait, I am babbling after all... I think I should do a map where the location of all my photos is marked like Torsten once did...
