A good old "Bügelfalte" class 110 gently backs her train into Düsseldorf Central station, arriving cab car first from the holding sidings. Soon, the driver will have walked back to the loco, flicked on the headlights and departed towards Aachen, the rush hour extra train in tow. I loved how the loco was beautifully illuminated, the background dark, making for a great contrast. Yeah, I know I shot 110 494 for the n+1th time now, but there are only a handful of 110s left, so I end up shooting the same ones.
Also, it's extremely hot here. Really very hot, meaning several degrees above 30. When I got home, at eight in the evening, the thermometer still displayed 33°C outside my window, which would be equivalent to 91°F, if you happen to be from the US. Rode an S-Bahn train home from Düsseldorf, and those only have these useless "Klappfenster". Every second window has a narrow section at the top that you can tilt inward, which doesn't really help. Either install AC or windows that one can fully open, the in-between solution is the worst of both worlds.
