EgyptAir Cargo Airbus A300B4-622R(F), registration SU-GAY, arriving from Cairo as flight MS536. Seen from our balcony, just before making the final turn towards Cologne Bonn Airport. This old beast was delivered in 1991, in service for almost 22 years now, with no change of airline or registration. On the 21st of December 2001, it was involved in an incident at Frankfurt Airport, skidding off the runway due to heavy snow. Thankfully, nobody was injured, and the plane didn't sustain any major damage either. As you can see by the stripes behind the nose, it was recently repainted in EgyptAir's
new livery. In other news, photography hasn't received much attention lately, as you may have noticed by the lack of new submissions. Railfanning in general has died completely at the moment, mostly due to time constraints, and also because I'm bored by most trains these days. Perhaps it's just my mood, as I'm (still) dealing with some rather unpleasant family issues that show no real signs of resolving themselves, despite my efforts.
