Towards the end of this series, I also wanted to show you how my train looks like inside, so here we have my preferred seat: Top deck, next to the window, facing towards the direction of travel, in the 4 seat group that's closest to the cab. That way, I'm near the first door of the train, which stops with its front right at the stairs in Leverkusen.
Also, these are the most comfortable seats I've ever used in a regional train. Other seats I like would be those of the old "Silberling" carriages, followed by the better ones in Bombardier Talent DMUs and x-type S-Bahn carriages, with the new EMUs having the most uncomfortable ones.
Well, as I've said, these are the best, others such as the EMU seats are quite a bit worse. I remember someone saying "...and I thought I'd flop down onto an upholstered seat, and almost broke my spine... At least with the wooden seats, you saw that they were hard!".
