Description
I don't know how many of you remember my 100th deviation, but that was the same engine, about to push the "Verstärker", a peak hour extra train from Duisburg to Düsseldorf. It was a bitter cold autumn morning, but here we have a warm summer afternoon at Cologne Central.
Pretty standard shot, and that sign is kinda disturbing. It says "Don't get off here!", a bit useless since you can't open the doors on the wrong side. Still, I liked the colour tones, as a bright sunny day is dimmed by the dirty glass roof of the station. Needless to say, I also like to see class 110s that I previously shot again, still merrily working away. This specimen here was built in 1965. Here's another pic from when she still came to Duisburg, a low angle closeup to show off the ridge down the centre of the cab that gave these units the nickname "Bügelfalte".
The next engine in the roster would be 110 381. But as some of you may know, she is gone for good.

Nettes Bild.
