What could be a more perfect ending to a long and sunny week than catching the mighty 103?

Thanks to daylight saving time, the sun was still up when the famed InterCity 2417 Hanseat made its way back from Flensburg to Cologne, so I gave it a try in Langenfeld. As you can see, the sun is very low, highlighting the side much more than the front. Now that's not optimal, but I just love the strong contrast, not to mention the illuminated sides of the rails. And yes, that commuter train in the background did get out of the way fast enough for me to have an unobstructed view. Yes, that's an easter bunny behind the righthand windshield.

And yes, the driver did blow the whistle to greet me!
