Class 143 electric arriving at Cologne Central Station, with a set of double decker carriages.

When I showed this to Torsten, we both agreed that it was neither a creative shot, nor any kind of special or interesting train. However, a 143 pushing double deckers is something that was very typical in the GDR, where double decker trains saw widespread use, even before the advent of diesel or electric traction.

It also reminded us both of this photo from 1987, showing such locomotives in the same kind of weather that we're facing at the moment. Desaturated it a bit, for a more classic feel, but left the taillights untouched. I really like the mystical red glow of taillights, as you may have guessed.
