I think every photographer knows the feeling that all you shoot isn't good enough. Sure, some nice pics that you personally like, but nothing that one would really consider worthy of uploading.
It might be because I said to myself that I shouldn't upload standard train shots that have nothing interesting about them, as I feel that there are way too many of those. However, getting shots that are so good that even non-railfans would like them isn't all that easy, and I don't seem to have that much luck with lighting recently. Not to mention still having to get used to the tele lens, which is especially tricky to handle in low light conditions. I've resorted to using fully manual settings, as otherwise the camera messes everything up when automatically adjusting exposures.
So, I thought I'd submit some shots of the Wuppertaler Schwebebahn from my latest little tour there. This was probably the n+1th pic that I opened up, edited, and then wanted to throw away again because I didn't like it for some reason. Figured I should just put it up, since it shows something non-everyday for most people (who don't happen to be living in or near Wuppertal). Maybe I should go there tomorrow and have another go...
Would everyone be in favour of more Schwebebahn shots, or would you consider them to be boring? Maybe I should go to Cologne with the tele... Or do some night shots with the tripod or stuff like that. Or a sunrise timelapse. So many possibilities, but there's always the high risk that it doesn't turn out as one wants to.
You might like the Kaiserwagen then: [link]
I guess I should take more Schwebebahn shots, as soon as the weather tops being shitty...
