The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire.
We don't need no water, let the motherfucker burn. Burn moth... Wait a minute... On second thought, a little water might just help... A little mishap at the Bender today, while 143 808 was broken up. Who knew recycling could hurt this much, considering that this engine was built in 1988, only 21 years old! What a waste! I just don't understand how they can send such young engines to the scrapyard, especially with the low scrap prices at the moment. Also on death row is 143 003, the first class 143 engine that was mass produced (001 and 002 were prototypes). They scrap what is of historic value, they scrap what is still young, next day they might accidentally send brand new engines here, at least that's how most railfans feel about this. If you're interested in other pics of how she was broken up, and a shot of a Bügelfalte 110 stopping in Opladen, check out my thread on DSO: [link] |
