The undisputed Queen on German rails, the legendary class 103, pulling a TEE train like in the old days. Of course, it was just a nostalgia special train, and at 125mph, a rather fast one too. Unlike regular long distance IC and ICE trains, these here do actually stop in Leverkusen.

For the other shots from today's early morning tour, here's the DSO post, as usual. Sadly, the sun rose just a tad too slowly to give some epic illumination, so I was forced to use high iso to keep the shutter fast. But even with just that small glint of morning sun on her nose, this ten thousand horsepowered beast will always shine with her timeless beauty.

Don't u just love the oldschool painting scheme and how the train looks like complete line...?

Yeah, the paint job is quite terrific. :) I just wish there'd have been more light to really show how nice it looks.

Thanks man! :) Though I see much stuff wrong with it, since there's always room for improvement. :XD:

Thanks very much! :)

Though both could be improved (103 235 has a nice metal DB logo and buffer covers, so I prefer that one to 184 here).
