Back when Pluto was still a planet, I was into some other form of transportation. More specifically, WW2 aircraft, which I got to know through early flight sims like European Air War, and comics such as Warlord. As usual, the bad guys (Germans) had the more interesting crafts, at least to my taste. But I couldn't say no to the B 17, the Lancaster, or the P 38 either. You can even see the last few models I built when I somehow lost interest, a Me 109, a Spitfire and a Mossie, all waiting for the paint job they won't get any more. Left side is from our apartment in Budapest, right side is from here in Leverkusen. Sadly, almost all of them were at one point damaged by careless parents and friends, some to the point of me not being able to repair the undercarriage.

Nothing good as far as photography is concerned, but I thought some may be interested in WW2 planes as well. Download for full size.

That's cool. Life has a way of putting these things on the back burner. I had a similar collection that eventually got abandoned. After I divorced my first wife I started building models again to combat the late night loneliness. I buil up a nice little colection of 1:72 WWI biplanes and triplanes. When I met me current wife, she moved in and decided to duct away all those "cobwebs" in between the airplane wings. That was a few years worth of rigging down the drain. I kept the little airplanes with the thought that one day I would repair them. needless to say they are all still in a box in a closet.
